About Us

Ace Home Center was begun in 1913 as the Marrow-Pitt Hardware Company. It has been owned and managed by four generations of the family of William C. Pitt, the founder. Today the company is led by Joe Pitt (3rd Generation) and his son Mears Pitt (4th Generation). Ace Home Center offers its customers a convenient, clean and modern environment, yet maintains the atmosphere and service of an old hardware store. Lawn and Garden and Paint are the largest departments. Lawn and Garden offers home grown (3 greenhouses) hanging baskets, ferns, and geraniums. The paint department also leads the area in selling top quality paints under the Benjamin Moore name and also the privately labeled Ace paint. The 10,000 square foot store also offers complete departments in electrical, plumbing, hardware, housewares, and sporting goods. Stop by and say hello to Joe and Mears.
